We are excited to share an incredible opportunity that our juniors and seniors at Christian Center School will be embarking on in May 2025. In partnership with Global Effect, we will be traveling to the Dominican Republic for a mission trip focused on making a meaningful impact. Our primary mission will be to distribute water filters to local families, provide access to clean water, while also sharing the Gospel with those we encounter.

In addition to this, we’ll be serving in an after-school program each day, enriching the lives of children through sports, music, academic support, and building lasting relationships by simply spending time together.

This is a life-changing journey, and we are reaching out to ask for your support in making this mission trip a reality. Your involvement will help us make a significant difference in the lives of the communities we’ll be serving in the Dominican Republic. Global Effect is dedicated to sustainable community transformation. They work to build on the efforts of previous teams through research, community surveys, and targeted programs that address the specific needs of each community. The goal is to create lasting change that impacts families for generations.

During our trip, our team will be divided into small groups of 3-4 students. Each group will distribute water filters to families, addressing the critical need for clean water. Beyond that, we will have the opportunity to build relationships with the people we meet, share the Gospel, and be a living example of Christ’s love.

Applying the gift of language in practice. This mission trip is also an excellent opportunity to practice and speak Spanish, as we’ve been learning the language for years under the leadership of Mrs. Williams. Having the chance to engage with local communities in the Dominican Republic in Spanish will allow us to use the skills we’ve been developing in the classroom and deepen our connection with the people we serve.
